Snowflakes for Sandy Hook Children

Snowflakes for Sandy Hook Children
January 9, 2013
The residents at Islandia West got together and made snowflakes for the Sandy Hook children returning back to school after the tragic event on December 14, 2012. A request was sent out by the Sandy Hook PTA requesting handmade snowflakes to be mailed to a Connecticut address before January 12th 2013. The PTA wants to decorate the school with the snowflakes showing the children they are in the hearts of America. The residents of Islandia West jumped on board and began busily cutting out snowflakes to mail to the children. We feel this activity wasn’t just beneficial to the children but to us as well.
