National Senior Health & Fitness Day

National Senior Health & Fitness Day
June 1, 2015
“If You Keep Moving…You’ll Keep Improving!”
100,000 older adults participated in activities at more than 1,000 locations throughout the U.S. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 as we celebrated the 22nd Annual National Senior Health & Fitness Day. The common goal for this day: to help keep Seniors healthy and fit. Always set for the last Wednesday in May, National Senior Health & Fitness Day is the nation’s largest annual health promotion event for Seniors, and here at The Arbors at Islandia we celebrated the day with exercise, Zumba, outdoor sports and a health expo. Residents enjoyed themselves while improving on their flexibility and stamina.
