Winter is the time when seniors living alone often experience SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder). SAD can affect the best of us, causing the onset of depression in those cold and dark months throughout the year. While SAD affects people of all ages, the symptoms of depression take a toll on seniors.

Many family members struggle with guilt, trying to do what is best for their loved ones, because they want to remain in their own home they have lived in for so long.  Unfortunately that is often not the best situation.
