Heroes Welcome Program at Hauppauge

Wednesday December 10th 2014 the students from Pines Elementary School participated in our Heroes Welcome Program. The students were given the opportunity to interview veterans for the purpose of putting together a biography on each of their lives. The stories that each veteran expressed were very compelling and the students were amazed to be listening to history in person as opposed to reading it in a history book.
