Happy 76th Wedding Anniversary!
Meet Lou and Frances Sacco, who met 81 years ago in the Bronx, when they were just teenagers. Living just a block away from each other, they each noticed each other and became friends. After writing letters while Lou served in the Navy for over 3 years, their love sparked upon his return. They were married 75 years ago, had three beautiful children, 7 Grandchildren, and now 13 Great-grandchildren.
Lou and Frances worked hard their whole lives, as a plumber and seamstress, then bus driver, built a wonderful life together, moving from The Bronx and building a home in East Islip. But they were faced with the need for some help and an easier life and have found relaxation and peace of mind at The Arbors at Islandia West. They can still live together, get the help they each need, and stop worrying about their medications, bills, house maintenance; and enjoy life to the fullest. Lou and Frances have made new friends, have the opportunity to expand their horizons with recreational activities either together or separately, without any worries; it’s all at their fingertips. Live entertainment, BINGO, happy hour, The Saccos enjoy getting involved in just about any activity.Their children visit often and have become a part of The Arbors extended family.
When asked what their secret to a long marriage Frances says “We do everything together, as long as we are together, we are happy.”
