We love spending time with our GrandFriends! Girl Scout Troop 1631 visited The Arbors at Bohemia. Together they shared some laughs and we worked on some beautiful Fall Crafts Special moments!
We welcomed Congressman Lee Zeldin to present our resident James Rizzo with a certificate entering him into the Congressional Record for his service in the Army. James served his country in the Army surviving years of grueling battle over seas in India, Asia, Burma, China and Europe. His service earned him a Combat Star and Good Conduct Medal as well as rank of Sergeant. At 96 years old, The Arbors staff and the United States of America are proud to honor him and thank him for his service. James was surrounded by his family and friends for the ceremony at The Arbors at Islandia West. His friend Rose wrote a beautiful letter to the Congressman detailing his years of service, which prompted the presentation.
Every Wednesday for the entire month of October our residents at The Arbors at Westbury have been enjoying Wacky Wednesday themed days throughout the community! Our residents and team members went through their wardrobes and they showed up dressed to impress in their best animal prints!
