3 Reasons Why Your Head Hurts

3 Reasons Why Your Head Hurts
September 18, 2017
Do you find yourself putting your hand over your head in discomfort each and every day? Chances are these frequent headaches are occurring due to some daily mistakes that you might not realize you’re making. Recognizing these mistakes can help cure your “random” daily headaches.
Missing Out on Your Daily Caffeine
Anyone drinking more than two caffeinated beverages per day (coffee, tea, energy drinks) can experience withdrawal if they go one day without their usual fix. While you shouldn’t be drinking five cups throughout the day, it is safe to drink your usual one or two. Simply get your fix to remove the headache, but for every cup, remember to drink a cup of water to stay hydrated!
Being Sensitive to Certain Foods
If you are allergic (or sensitive) to certain foods, obviously, you need to stay away from them. If you’re unsure if certain foods are giving you headaches, think about what you ate when you had your last few headaches — and rule things out from there. The most common offenders include:
- Wheat – Those who are allergic or have Celiac disease
- Dairy – Those who are allergic or are lactose intolerant
- Caffeine – Those who are having withdrawals or are crashing
Rising Too Early in the Morning
It’s not the time you wake up each morning that’s giving you a headache — it’s how fast you do it. Those who stand up too fast can get an instant rush of blood to their noggin. This can easily lead to an early morning headache. While many go away after a few minutes, it’s possible for it to linger if you’re sensitive to headaches.
Going through each and every day with a headache doesn’t have to happen, especially when there are easy solutions to this problem. For other useful tips and information, visit our blog!
