Veterans Appreciation BBQ at Islandia

Islandia Veterans and their spouses were treated to a Veterans BBQ lunch on August 30th courtesy of members from VFW Post 12144 and their Commander Raul Jimenez-Cintron. Members of the post, including Islandia’s Mayor Allan Dorman cooked and served the Islandia Veterans as a way of thanking them for their service to our Country. While enjoying the BBQ, veterans shared stories of their service years with each other. It was such a wonderful day. Our sincere thanks to VFW Post 12144!
