The Arbors at Bohemia has worked with Idle Hour school in Oakdale creating friendships with the children and our residents. We have gone to the school all year long and made “Grand-friends”, doing craft projects and gardening. At the end of the year the students came to the Arbors and put on a play for their “grand-friends”. The students and their proud families were able to sit and talk with their “grand-friends” and make plans to visit and write letters throughout the summer and each year until they graduate. The residents and children both truly enjoy the program.
