Today, we welcomed Congressman Lee Zeldin to present our resident James Rizzo with a certificate entering him into the Congressional Record for his service in the Army.
James served his country in the Army surviving years of grueling battle over seas in India, Asia, Burma, China and Europe. His service earned him a Combat Star and Good Conduct Medal as well as rank of Sergeant. At 96 years old, The Arbors staff and the United States of America are proud to honor him with this great honor and thank him for his service. James was surrounded by his family and friends for the ceremony at The Arbors at Islandia West. His friend Rose wrote a beautiful letter to the Congressman detailing his years of service, which prompted the presentation today.
