Ruth Bader-Ginsberg – Legal Powerhouse – Age 85
Also known as “Notorious RBG”, Mrs. Ginsberg is the Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. Not only did she attend Harvard and Cornell, she was able to overcome many obstacles as a woman working in the male-dominated field of law. She was persistent in getting the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act passed under President Obama.
Tao Porchon-Lynch – Wellness Wonder- Age 99
Just shy of becoming a centenarian, Tao Porchon Lynch is the oldest yoga instructor in the world today. Her website boldly states, “There is nothing you cannot do” and she certainly lives up to her words!
Betty White – Emmy Award-Winning Golden Girl -Age 96
Best known for her role as Rose on the sitcom Golden Girls, this tenacious lady is also an animal rights activist. She’s a Trustee for both the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association and the Morris Animal Foundation.
Earnestine Shepherd – Athlete Extraordinaire – Age 82
Earnestine has been noted as the world’s oldest female body builder by the Guinness book of World Records. Not only does she have a passion for building her muscles she’s a personal trainer and runs too! Her determination to keep fit and healthy can inspire anyone at any age. She started working out at 56 years old and hasn’t stopped yet!
Iris Apfel – The Accidental Icon – Age 96
She’s got style, she’s got class and at age 96 she’s still working in the fashion and interior design industry. While sporting her vibrant garb and large-rimmed black glasses, she blazes on with a no-holds-barred attitude. She says, “I don’t’ have any rules, I would only be breaking them, so it’s a waste of time.” Gotta love her gumption!
