The day dawned sunny and residents of Islandia West were excited about going to the Ronkonkoma Memorial Day parade to show their American pride and support of our Veterans now and then.  After the parade the residents of Islandia West returned back home to participate in a flag ceremony commemorating Memorial Day 2015.  The American flag was flown at half staff for Memorial day until 12noon.  During the ceremony, residents stood for taps and then sang God Bless America while the American flag was lowered and then raised up to full staff.
