How to Get Rid of Dark Circles Under Your Eyes

How to Get Rid of Dark Circles Under Your Eyes
October 31, 2017
Have people been telling you that you look exhausted lately? This is a common trend for those who have dark circles under their eyes. Stop looking like you’re dressing up for Halloween and take care of those unsightly eyes of yours!
Why They’re There
- You’re Born This Way – Genetics play a big role in those with dark circles under their eyes. Some people are born with thin skin under their eyes, which can become dark and puffy when blood pools here (due to poor circulation and lack of sleep).
- Aging Like Fine Wine – As you age, collagen levels will decline and skin will begin to thin. When this happens, you will begin to notice veins more easily.
- It’s That Time of the Year – For those who suffer from allergies, you’re more likely to see dark circles under your eyes. When histamines are released as a result of allergens, blood vessels will become inflamed.
How to Get Rid of Them
- Having Thin Skin – Take a trip to the dermatologist’s office and inquire about collagen-building skin creams. This cream will help add some thickness to the underneath of your eyes. Just because we have to age, doesn’t mean we have to suffer from its side effects!
- Vascular Conditions – Double up on pillows at night to prevent blood from pooling underneath your eyes. Additionally, visit a dermatologist to inquire about prescribed eye creams and if you should be including more omega-3 fatty acids in your diet.
- Allergy Side-Effects – Since histamines in the body cause inflamed blood vessels, an over-the-counter antihistamine should do the trick!
