Grand-friends Program

Grand-friends Program
May 18, 2016
Teaming up with local schools, residents have the opportunity to bond with young children by doing craft projects, reading, gardening or writing letters to each other. The intergenerational relationships are so important to both the children and the seniors, they are both continuously teaching each other new things. Residents from The ArborsĀ go to the schools to visit children, and the schools come to the Arbors as well.
This week some residents and students visited the LI News Radio Station for the Senior Living Show hosted by Karen Solomon and Christine Herting to talk about The Arbors Grand-friend Program.
