January may have been cold, but spending time with friends always makes us feel warm! Last month the kids from StonyBrook School who participate in The Arbors Grandfriends Program came by and the residents enjoyed coloring, painting and crafting with them!
Our Grandfriends Program provides both seniors and children an avenue to interact, communicate and inspire one another! Not only do they all enjoy spending time together, but studies show that here are many health benefits for seniors who spend time with young children, such as memory improvements and cognitive abilities.
The Arbors Assisted Living strives to create an environment for seniors that fosters creativity to enhance their mental and physical well-being. We offer a variety of activities to our residents.
