At The Arbors, our story begins with two simple words: Value and Quality.

Founded by Karen Solomon in 2005, The Arbors was born from a passion to provide seniors with exceptional care, delicious meals, and engaging programs that nurture the soul. Karen built The Arbors with one goal in mind: to offer families peace of mind and residents a life full of comfort, activity, and connection.

For Karen, this mission is deeply personal. When her own mother, Grace, needed more support than could be provided at home, Karen and her team ensured her mother thrived in one of The Arbors communities. Grace’s improved health and happiness reinforced the importance of personalized, hands-on care, something that guides every decision we make today.

Nearly two decades later, The Arbors has grown to five assisted living communities across Long Island, earning the trust of retired police officers, firefighters, teachers, nurses, and many other hardworking families. Our team of experienced, mission-driven professionals makes decisions locally, right here on Long Island. Unlike large corporate operations, we keep our corporate office in one of our own buildings and focus exclusively on Nassau and Suffolk counties.
